That Awkward Moment When....

That awkward moment when it's -18 degrees and
the power goes out.
Haha! My roommates are so funny!

This morning I woke up at 6 AM to prep for my 7 45 class
come to find that at 5 AM the power went out
all over campus. Awesome.

It is so super cold and we didn't have any power.
Imagine peeing in the pitch black.
Yeah, not so fun haha!
So classes got postponed until 11 30 AM.
We have all just been sitting on the couch, preserving body heat
and laughing over dumb things.
We're all pretty loopy and tired
just sitting in the dark. Haha.

So, I don't have any classes today because of the power outage.
I do however have to catch up on some
online hw. Which will be good
for me to get done.
It seems like I have been here for like a month
but it's only been a week and a few days.
Crazy!
Last week was a great first week of
classes! Life is grand here!
College is 110% better than high school.
Did I mention that I totally love my roommates? :)

Here are a couple of our experiences so far:

That awkward moment when you're walking to church and your nose hairs freeze.
hahahahaha.

That awkward moment when you slip down the icy steps that lead to your apartment.

That awkward moment when only you're laughing at a joke you just told.

That awkward moment when you don't know how to work the equipment at the gym.

Anyway, I love these girls so much already!
Hopefully we won't have any
more power problems.
Have a happy Monday! And stay warm :)

Adventures & Escapades

This girl is in college!
Yeah, you heard right.
Sometimes I still can't even believe it.
I've been here for almost a week
and yet it is still so surreal.

BYU-I is so amazing. I knew I would like,
but I can say now, that I LOVE it!
I have really awesome roommates, I know I have been blessed in that department.
The environment here is just so uplifting.
The people are beyond friendly.
Everyone here is just amazing!!! Seriously.

I think that the only complaint I have is
the crazy cold weather. But
that was to be expected.
Despite feeling like my face is going to freeze off
every time I walk outside,
I wouldn't wanna be anywhere else in my life
at this time.

If you know me, then you know I
love going outdoors and
enjoying sights
and nature.
So of course like one of the first
things I wanted to do when I got here was to
explore the campus.
However, the weather limits me.
If it was Spring or Fall even
I would be out there all the time.
But this is Winter folks,
and if you wanna keep all of your toes then you
don't stay outside too long.

So each day I try and capture a little something
from the BYU-I campus. This is the
adventure that I've had so far.

when you touch the temple, the temple touches you

One of my top fav things about Rexburg:
I can walk to the temple...WALK!!!!
In like ten minutes.
It's amazing!

Everything here in Rexburg is absolutely
gorgeous. I don't know
what it looks like in the Spring (I'll find out soon!) or
Summer or Fall
(all stunning probably),
but in the Winter everything is covered in snow.
It's white all the time and you just
feel like you're living
in a picture or something.
I can't wait to see what it looks like when there
isn't any snow, but
I've decided that I'm going to enjoy the
winter wonderland while I can.
With adventures, escapades, and all.
I'm wanderlust,
yes, I'm wanderlust in Idaho.
Gotta live the dream!
