Temple to Temple

So my last day in Rexburg was June 15.
Sad day.
Stacey and her momma and I began our road trip to Utah, but
we decided that on the way we
would stop in the temples
that we could and do sessions! We took a picture in front of each one!
It was one of the coolest things ever.

Rexburg temple! I sure will miss it!

friends til the end! and then some!
Nick, Jess, Winston, Schmidt in our New Girl pose
saying goodbye was so hard.
and 30 minutes down the road was the Idaho Falls temple!!
the reason it's called Idaho Falls. You can kind of see Angel Moroni in the background
SALT LAKE CITY TEMPLE!!
reflection pool
I have a greater appreciation for this temple and for those who built it!
We wanted to do more temples (there are like a thousand alone
in Utah!) but we were short
on time :(
Also got to go to the Denver Temple with my family
once I got back to Colorado! It was also great.

Denver temple! Cute & tiny, but still the Lord's House!
I am extremely grateful for
temples and all they offer. We are so blessed to have them on the earth.
I am so sad to be away from
Rexburg and everyone there! I'll miss that home away from home
and I won't be there for almost two years.
But I am very excited to start
the next journey of serving a full-time mission in the St. Louis Missouri area!!!!
It's gonna be great!
Hopefully I'll be able to go the temple while I'm there!

I'm Gonna Be A Sister

Dear Sister Reed:
You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
You are assigned to labor in the Missouri St. Louis Mission.
It is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 18 months.
You should report to the Provo Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, August 13, 2014.
You will prepare to preach the gospel in the English language.

EEEEEEE!! I'm goin on a mission! I am just so excited :) I can hardly believe it.
I can't tell you how excited I am to serve in Missouri.
I was definitely surprised when I read
where I would be for the next year and a half, but I am very happy about it.
I know it is where I am needed.
I'm nervous and excited about serving, but I do know
it is right and I can hardly wait to get
started.

It is all so surreal and I really can't believe it is happening.
I'm gonna serve a mission and
help the people of St. Louis, Missouri!!

Hard to Believe

Time has passed so quickly. I just had my midterms and that means
the semester is halfway over.
CRAZY!
Time really does fly and it is just weird to me.
This really is a home away from home.
And I have already
had so many good experiences with my roommates
this semester.

There are 9 girls in my apartment which may seem
like a LOT.
But really it isn't too bad.
There is always something going on at our
apartment and I seriously
love each of my
roommates!

Sophomore Status

Well, I've made it through the first two
weeks of my sophomore year!
School is so great!
I am now officially a Child Development major
and I could not be happier.
I've got great roomies,
and I'm in the same ward as before (it's the best ward ever)!

Also my best friend from Colorado is here this
semester with me! She's off
track but we still
see each other at least once a week
and it is a blessing.
I didn't realize how much I had missed her until
I started seeing her
every weekend here! It's great being here with her again!
I love making memories with her. :)

I think this semester is going to be great!
I'm really excited about it
and I am so grateful for the blessing of being here!
This university is a special
place and the Lord has
been so mindful of me and I am so appreciative of
experiences I have had
and for those ahead of me.

The greatest blessing is that of learning and progressing
in this mortal life.

30 Questions

While on Pinterest
a couple of days ago I stumbled upon what I thought to be a
gem, especially for posterity.
It is a site that has thirty questions to answer and
record for future kiddos.
I thought it was pretty cool and there are actually some
pretty good questions on
there.
Normally I don't like doing things like this, but I thought
"Hey, what the heck?" haha.
I don't think I will do all of the questions [at least not now] because there are so many
and some are very in depth.
So here we go... let's haaaave some fuuun!

1) List 20 random facts about yourself.

1. I broke my wrist in 7th grade
2. When I was 10 I would write my own songs
3. There is a tiny part of me that wants to be an actress
4. I have lived in 5 different states
5. Every time I cut my toenails I get an ingrown toenail [haha]
6. I am very indecisive
7. I can get intimidated easily [even by little kids, it's weird]
8. I don't know what I want to be when I grow up
9. Cereal is my weakness
10. I didn't stop peeing in my pants until 3rd grade :)
11. I worry and stress way too much
12. I cannot be held responsible for my actions after 11:00 pm [I get crazy loopy]
13. My favorite color is purple, sometimes
14. I'm not as good at video games as I'd like to think I am
15. The feature I like the best is my eyes, especially when the sun hits them
16. I was a nail biter [kicked the habit long ago]
17. I cannot wait to be a mom
18. I have a very very ridiculous fear of sharks
19. I am extremely picky about jewelry and therefore hate receiving it as a gift
20. I am a Mormon [that's the best fact :)]

I hope you enjoyed the facts and maybe you learned something new about me, haha :)
I think I will just leave it
at question one for today because it was so long.
Happy November!
Remember to count your blessings.

Playing on the Vacay

Just got back last week from a lovely
family vacation/reunion in
Portland Oregon.
It was so great to see my siblings again
and my cutie pie niece.
I love it when
our family gets together for however long or short a time.
It's so refreshing to me.

We had a great time exploring Oregon
and making more fun
family memories.
And Oregon is so beautiful, it was easy to
feel relaxed during our stay.

Kicks & Giggles

So Friday morning I got my wisdom teeth taken out.
Boy oh boy was I loopy.
I don't remember half the things I said or what was going through my mind at the time,
but my mom managed to get most of it on tape.
Haha. I had a good laugh
when I went back and watched after I wasn't
so drugged up ;)

The first two minutes are a little slow, but it gets better.
I know the video is pretty long, like
25 minutes,
but I think it's worth it. Haha.
I hope you enjoy some
kicks & giggles.

Disclaimer: I have no idea why I talk about kissing so much. haha :)
anyway, enjoy the film.
